The problem that the Church see, is that "we can fall in the 'Dark' desire to possess", while that can happen, only to those that deny to solve the problem with the Hand, or refuse to find a Woman to care those desires by her will to satisfy man fragilities. Catholic Priests and Christian ones, cannot have a woman, while Protestants can. If your religions forbid you to have a Woman, I am sure that you can use Your Hand, since the prohibition for Priests, is to have a Woman and Merry. History describe this event that repeats over and over again, for so many centuries. In some parts of the Globe, we can listen Priests, saying that is better to rape a child then using the hand to solve the problem, and with this immoral perspective, thousend of children were raped by the hands of priests that deny to use their Hands to solve their problem. The big problem here, is that the Church hide this persons and protect them, becoming the durtiness that Rapers create on others lifes. Justice systems normally accept that "corruption" from the Church and with it, priests are moved to some other place, by repeating the same. Is like you find some person who did rape woman or children, and the penalty that you give them, is just to move them to some other place that no one knows who this person is. Today's, after many centuries of pressure against these abuses, Justice systems are being less volatil and try to arrest them, but if you think twice, you know that this persons will not go into some prison, since by the laws of Prisons, they will be murder in the next day they enter any prison in the world. So, they will be in some "hotel" far away from anyone, while no penalties will be apply to them.
So, fighting against this kind of acts from the Roman Empire was something good, since maybe it was the biggest wrong event, that happen in the Roman Empire, even if they design the Justice systems we live today and create many other details that inspire actual societies, society should deny to practice what is Immoral, by the condition of those who Think, since those who don't think, don't even try to change anything, as they accept without questioning.
